Hi all. I'm sure some of you will know me from sevenstring.org, where I'm a mod.
After about two years of being Jackson-less (my last ones were a pair of Roswell Rhoads imports, one black, one blue) I now own another Jackson. A Jackson I've been after for a very long time, and one I'm sure many of you will know. After much pestering of it's last owner, I'm now the proud owner of the Death Warrior 7 string
I have to apologise for the poor lighting in the pictures, but we've sadly got suck-tastic energy saving bulbs throughout.
This last one is closer to showing how red the guitar is. It's not "trans orange" as the tag says, it's blood red:
So far I'm impressed with the Lundgren M7 that's now fitted to the guitar (though I have the original Blaze), and it has an astonishing clean tone for such a high output pickup. The neck is a lot thicker than the Ibanez neck's I'm used too, but not as thick as a Schecter neck. In fact the neck shape is very much like my 1990 UV7PWH, but a little meatier.
Right now it's being set up (I have a bad history of wrecking floating trems with my setups, so I leave them to the professional's now), but I'm looking forward to giving it a lot of play time.
