  • Rather new here-Jackson strats...

I´m rather new here. Just wanted to post pictures of my latest scores: Two incredible Jackson bolt-on strats with maple boards, both assembled in February 1988. They are a dream to play and because of the maple fretboard they have the nice San Dimas-mojo...
The first one says "Double Silhouette" in the trem space in the back. It also says "6" (is that nr 6 of ....made?) The other one says it was assembled by Kevin Mogan. They are obviously made at the Ontario plant but they have the PO Box 245, San Dimas neck plates since a lot of them were left over when they moved in 1986. Do you Jackson gurus know anything about these wonderful beasts?

    Rawk on!

    Pentii,
    Welcome!

It may just be me, but I see no pics...
I used to own a Jackson Ontario Dinky w/San Dimas Neck plate.
    Great guitar...
Another forum member owns it now, and it's his main axe.
Mine had the Ebony fingerboard, and played like silk.
    Very cool guitars indeed!!!

Those are cool. I love single hum strats. Are those factory graphics? And, welcome to the JCF.

Those are both factory graphics. Obviously you guys get the "optical illusion" in the Silhouette, right? It's 2 faces opposing each other. Nice axes for sure.

no, joe, it's a white candlestick!

while it may not be a super bitchin' rock graphic, it's cool to see the little oddballs. and i love the b/w one.

                welcome!

I didn't see that illusion. It's even more cool, now.

Thanx, you Jackson gurus! The knowledge and nice attitude floating around here makes me feel welcome! Yes, I believe they are factory graphics. The double silhouette is really cool onstage. You get a lot of equipment groupies with that one . And yes, it may not be ultra-rock-n-roll but it used to belong to a swedish death metal guy, who had a Jackson endorsement, I believe. Are those b/w graphics common?
