  • I bought someone's CS SL2

So I ended buying somebody's CS SL2 that they never paid for. It's nothing overly fancy but I liked some of the different features on it and I have a weakness for clean looking black guitars.

It had the original person's name on the headstock but it has been covered up with a black sharpie. (cant see this at all in the pics) It actually blends in really well and you cant really see it unless your upclose looking at the headstock.

It's pretty much brand new with the hangtags and everything. Ebony board with Piranha inlays, cut out on the lower horn, emg 81 & 85 and a reversehead stock , which I'm also a sucker for. It does start with a J serial number and from what I can tell is either a 2005 or 2006 from the numbering.

It's just kinda of a bummer it wasnt ordered with a MOP logo.

That's pretty sweet - kind of a Hanneman meets an SL2H. Not a big fan of those inlays generally, but they work on that one....

Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

I was scoping that one out, too. I think the inlays are a great touch. Its really a sharp lookin' axe. Congrats !
I'm not afraid to bleed, but I won't do it for you.

Thanks for the kind words all. I adjusted the action and got it sickenly low , installed some straplocks and then took it for a test drive. It sings! another Jackson that doesnt disappoint.

The frets seem to be abit smaller then my other Jacksons, just another observation.

Oh sweet. That's like a neck-thru DKMG. Can't go wrong with black.

Congrats Bro! Was watching that one too; but I got a similar one from Toru a couple of years back. Sick minds think alike! Enjoy it. Can't wait for those Absinthe SL2Hrevs to come in!

BTW, where did you get it? Many of you said you were looking at buying it.

I dig the simple straight-forward aesthetics...very cool and clean looking.
