Serial Number break down on KV2

I have a KV2 with the serial # U15839 can sombody break it down for me.

Comparing that s/n to my list, I'd say its from September of '05.

No it is U15839

That would be the the 15389 those are the 5 digits after the U.

They have always had 5 digits after the U.
Last time I checked, "0" is still a a number.

Sometime around late 2002 or early 2003, they went from U0xxxx to U1xxxx.

My KV2 is dated 8/2/01 and is U10028. Verified from the Custom Shop back when they actually answered the emails.
