If you've got 1400~1500 bucks, you can easily afford a JacksonStars RR, even with international shipping (which should be about $200).

    Hope this helps,

When I was in Japan...they had some nice JS RRVs straight off the shelf...no need to the customshop....

If I remember correctly most had Kahlers...which may or may not float your boat..

Another option, buy a beat up RR1 in the $700-900 range and rear route it

The only RR I own is a 12 year old performer series RR.
That was a mid price range Jackson made in Japan. And I can say even on this guitar, the pickguard and overall quality is amazing and solid. It still looks, feels and plays great.
So you will not be disappointed with a USA RR1, I promise

I've contacted and looked all over Ishibashi and looking at their store and they do have one guitar that they were offering me... This guitar.. http://1484.bz/c/38313/ (look at pics there) It's an exhibition model and even with the lower price it was still 1700.00 shipped USD. I denied for the moment but am still thinking since he said it was an "exhibition" model, and it had some scratches and some of the paint was coming off the gold hardware (???) plus the pinstripes look incredibly thin and I asked him about that and he said they got thinner from being an exhibition model probably?? Very weird. I wish I could get Nazgul's guitar or buy it off him. If you knoww of how I can get a Jackson Stars like that SHIPPED for 1400~1500 then please DO tell, because everywhere I checked is about 1600-2000.

... and what would I do about the front open cavity after removing the pickguard and rerouting it in the back? I don't think that would work.

If you're not fixated on buying a brand new guitar, check yahoo! auction:

              http://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/

Here are a couple of other sites that list guitars for sale in Japan:

              www.digimart.net
              www.j-guitar.com

... and what would I do about the front open cavity after removing the pickguard and rerouting it in the back? I don't think that would work.
Click on the link to Henrik's site in his sig to see what he did to his Fernandez V.

              Hope this helps!

I just took a look at Henrik's site myself, and the Fernandez page is hard to find.

I found one I liked on the digimart website...

...now what do I do about trying to see how much the total would be and ordering one if its priced right, its all in japanese? If anyone can help me out a lot, I greatly appreciate it!

EDIT: nevermind, I don't know. I think its too expensive.

You should have no problem finding Jackson Stars for ~1200USD.

Check Ishibashi and Ikebe-Gakki regurarly (daily!) and you'll find it in no time!

BTW, you have the best looking RR24 I've ever seen!

Henrik did a magnificent work on his Fernandes! I'm planning to do the same to my Grover Jackson later this year!

Naz, be sure to take good pics and plenty of them throughout the project, please! I would be very interested in seeing this. The Grover under the knife, eh? Whoah!

With regards to the Fernandes, The full article is NOT up on the site, I'm sorry. I've only managed to publish 1 preliminary page so far. The full article will be posted (again) later in time.

That one says "SOLD" in red letters next to the price.

If it's just the pickguard you don't like, and you don't mind a 22 fret neck, here's a Dan Spitz model:
