  • Replace RR1T plate with ferrules?

Has anyone ever tried replacing the rear RR1T V plate with ferrules, like on the top of a SLATQH?

    Like these? http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Hardware..._Ferrules.html

you can do it, but you'll have to do something about the screw holes left behind from the V plate. perhaps they could be masked as red baron bullet holes?

Hah! Decided to pass on Snoopy. Going with this instead:

I can probably plug the screw holes before Mike sands and preps it. What the best way to go about that?

I'll still have to have the control cavity plate painted.

Or, leave the plate and paint over it. You're going to paint the control cover plate, why not also paint the bridge plate?

Less screwing around for Mike, and I wanted it to be a bit different.
