RR1 order

Can you order an RR1 without electronics and the Floyd? A buddy of mine wants to order one and install the pickups and floyd etc himself. He wants it completely routed and finished. Just no electronics or Floyd. Has anyone heard of such a order? I think he want to install actives etc.

Not possible. Maybe if the store that has one one for sale would take floyd and electronics away? And there's not much chance for that aswell.

Just buy one off ebay for a project. Would be cheaper than from Jackson "new."

Why doesn't he see if one of the dealers will do a pickup swap for him?

This doesn't make much sense to me. If he is going to drop in a Floyd anyway, let Jackson do it. He can always swap out the pickups and sell the old ones - Seymour Duncans seem to have good resale. Otherwise, I agree with Electric Eye. Just look for one on Ebay.

I agree but he asked if I would ask somebody. Take the JB set out and put his EMG in sell me the JB would be easier. But he has his own weird ideas.
