I have a Lefty Koa bodied Jackson which I bought off ebay a couple of years ago from a guy I believe is a member here. He told me it was a 1991 Custom Shop guitar. The body is solid Koa and is contoured. Not like an Archtop, but nicely rounded and quite different from my other Jacksons. It also came with the Reflex pickup system, including a mid boost. The pickups are in my opinion, unuseable. So I have the guitar dismantled to install new pickups. Penciled in in three separate places is the number 8790 (neck pocket, neck heal and rear body cavity). If this is the serial number, it does not stack up with what I was told. any help would be appreciated.

Jackson Custom Shop bolt-ons have a 4-digit serial number on the neckplate. No letters, just 4 numbers.
The numbers you're seeing could be the build date - 8-7-90.I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood
