That is one of the most amazing 7-strings I've ever seen. Congrats.
BTW, 1 7/8" is the standard nut width for 7-string guitars, going all the way back to the original Ibanez Universe in 1990. I have one of the very earliest 7-strings that Jackson ever made (in 1998), with an Ibanez LoPro trem and locking nut, and the guys at Jackson clearly didn't quite know how to do 7-string guitars yet, as it has a 2" neck width at the nut...with a 1 7/8" locknut!!! The little bit of excess neck on the bass side is no problem, though.

By the way, I have that same neck (speed neck) on my CS KV 7 string, it's not as huge as most 7's I've played... Even compared to my CS Soloist 7 it's 'smaller' feeling... It's my favorite neck ever, on any guitar I've played... Again, congrats!!!Hardware: all black, all the time.
