Recently I just bought this Archtop from member Vince here. It's a beauty and is very articulate. By far the best sounding guitar in my collection for clean tones. Birds Eye maple neck with what I believe he told me was an EVH Charvel profile. So it's alittle beefier.
It was so pristine when it arrived It kind of scares me to play it. heh
That is a nice guitar i love the colour, neck and pickup config. hope to have a CS similar to it one day differances i would make reverse sharkies, more of a dinky styled body with a extended cut away, probably go a black headstock also. ahh the dreams
I've only got the one Custom Shop RR so far, but hopefully I will get more! Hurrah!
It's a 24 fret RR with OFR, Duncan in the bridge and DiMarzio in the neck, bound ebony fretboard with inlay taken from a tattoo on my left arm (which in turn was from a cd of ours a few years back).
what brigde are you going to order?
I guess a TOM, since a Kahler fixed aint possible.
I recently found the Schaller Hannes brigde. Maybe you wanna to a look at it.
It has lot of surface contact.
A german luthier discripes its sound as woody and natural sounding.
I guess this comes closest to the Kahler...
They will do a King V with a Kahler fixed bridge. They won't do a "KV1". I'm guessing because the "KV1" was considered Mustaine's signature model.
As it was explained to me, Mustaine has no "intellectual property" rights on a King V with a Kahler fixed bridge. But when you ask for a KV1 those had Mustaine's signature on 'em and they came with LSR's (which out of business for the moment) so it gets shot down.
My silver KV, Dave's DM00292 replica. (I used to consider it as DM010 replica, but i got the information from the original owner, actually its DM00292 replica)
