There has GOT to be someone else out there that thinks this guitar is SUPER tacky. Snakeskin is cool! But The chrome is over-done in my opinion. Too much chrome! its like an ugly PT Cruiser with all the chrome trim options! I always thought chrome hardware was synonymous with cheaper guitars.

The personalized truss rod cover I think is so tacky. Its like you're trying to add texts and letters and graphics in every spot you can. Just leeave it alone!

and the ying yang? seriously? what is it supposed to mean? let me guess. "its like, good and evil, ya know?"
    wow. deep....

I just wanted to throw that in there since every other post was glowing with glee over this thing. I think its fugly. but again, Im stoked that a fellow JCFer is happy with it. All jacksons rule in my opinion but I felt the need to balance out the cum stains with some criticism.
Hi there. I don't mind you telling me it's over the top, because it is. I just wanted to coment something you said: "I always thought chrome hardware was synonymous with cheaper guitars."

Really? I've discussed this with a couple of friends and we had the same thought about black hardware. Anyway I'm happy with it. It's perfect for me. As for the yin yang, it's a different way of splitting the fretboard. The way it's made today, it's not symmetrical, but this is. So no good and evil. It's all about the music...

Pallers- that was a dick post. If you don't like it, fine. Even say that it is not to your taste. But you went over the line, IMO.

I think it is incredibly crass that you would shred the guys guitar. Too much chrome...engraved truss rod cover....his choices. You don't have to play it.

Sure, but come on, let's be reasonable here, no? It's just like telling someone their new baby is ugly or some shit, it's just not done... Some things should be kept to yourself.

 Damn dude, bash the guy's brand new custom shop? WTF? That's pretty low man and extremely UNCOOL! Had you been a noob here, I'd be going off in a big way, that's child shit you'd see on other boards! If you don't like it, don't post, keep it to yourself!

^^ dang ^^ pretty harsh. i'm not overly fond of the trussrod engraving, but otherwise i think it's still a USA SnakeSkin. if I chipped a monster chunk off of the headstock, wore off part of the graphic form use, and put misc. dings and naties all over it, would it make it less appealing? probably not. still a smokin guitar.

one person's garbage is another's wonderlust

I couldn't agree more. I've always loved the 80's metal. How cool wouldn't it be toplay it with a pink soloist...

But, you have to do all the leg work.
You would think so but back when my 007 Soloist was ordered a few years back they never said to me "go get written permission from EON Productions or Barbara Broccoli and we'll see if we can make that James Bond Soloist for you" I sort of understand where they're coming from legally but its a shame that a lot of really creative guitar ideas got the brakes put on them because of today's copyright/legal environment.

Maybe if he gets written permission from John Deere to do it? Who knows? You'd think John Deere would welcome the free publicity I just have no idea whether Fender/Jackson would do it. McD would have to answer that for you.
