Yeah, totally just tongue-in-cheek joking. Some of you newer guys probably don't realize I've done this before - refin'd/mod'd a limited edition Charvel strathead, before FMIC had allowed J/C to do custom shop strathead orders.

I wanted to, but that would've required re-logo'ing it. And that just wasn't happening.

How's the pearly gates neck?

I love it. My Kelly has the same PU combo and wiring layout. I primarily use neck PUs for clean tones, and the Pearly Gates sounds terrific in mahogany neck-through guitars for this. And, if you want to use it for leads, you can just roll back the tone knob a bit and wail away.
