That is so beautiful. I have a SL1 in the same color. Love it, love it, love it. Happy Birthday, belated, and you're 18 with a BAD ASS JACKSON. SO awesome. Rip it up, enjoy her, she's a beauty!

Thanks man, I appreciate you reading it! I agree, the stories are always interesting , dunno why. ^^ Great avatar and sig by the way! Hm, Live After Death, 22 Acacia Avenue? Maiden are the reason I picked up the guitar a little over 2 years ago (Yah, don't deserve the KV2 when having just played that long, I know. :ROTF: It's just that music is the only area in my life that I feel really comfortable and I figure that I'll always be playing, so why not treat myself to some geetsecks?)

I am a bit lucky, very lucky for a teenager, I know.

Can you post a picture of it's backside? I'm wondering how well the stain on the back shows the wood grain up. Thanks.

That is a beautiful axe. My first USA was also a KV2. Tobacco burst. It took forever and a day to get, but when I did... oh man... I couldn't believe I actually owned it. Even now (seven years later) I still look at it every once in a while and can't believe I own such a nice guitar. In fact, I have been thinking about getting another one.... having trouble choosing the color though.....

Unless I'm mistaken, amber sunburst hasn't been listed as a KV2 colour since about 2005. Is it new and, if so, did Nick have any difficulty in getting it?

It's new from what I know. Apparently, they had one ready at Jackson along with a few others finishes so I might've gotten one left behind if what you say is true. Only one who knows for sure is probably Nick.

Sorry, I really didn't mean to imply that Nick would sell you an old guitar and claim it was new; I know he would never do that.

I was just wondering if you bought it used, which seemed possible as Jackson's documentation implies that the finish is no longer available. As you bought it new, Jackson's documentation is wrong and/or out of date (this wouldn't be the first time). In fact, I think I've seen soloists in that finish that were made after it was disappeared from their MRSP pricelist.

That is good bad news, as you're putting evil ideas about the availability of a KV2T in Amber Sunburst into my head.

Now, how about those pictures of its behind... the guitar that is.

I wasn' implying that either. If it's a discontinued finish, I'm just thinking that Jackson had it laying around when Nick asked how long a new one would take to get. ^^ Meh, either way, it's a wicked finish.

I'll take the pic when I get home tonight.
