What are the woods that have been used to make Soloist? I take it that the maple neckthru is standard, ebony or rosewood board normal, but how about the side wings?

Well from what I have learned over time is the following:

The wings were made of 2 materials.

    Wings, Standard Production:

    Early: Poplar , Alder
    Later: Alder

    Customs:
    Koa, Mahogany, Alder, Maple

Also, many of the necks can come in all mahogany, or maple or multi-lams of maple, koa, walnut, or mahogany.

Tops: Maple of various types, flame, quilt, burl, etc.. Koa also appeared for some tops. Trans finishes only.
