Why would someone buy that? If I want a beat up guitar like that I'd just buy a used one.
The Hot Rod Jackson's relic parts fits the paint.

You better rush right out and grab that one, they've only been sitting there at MZ for 3 years now. Once they hit 8 years without selling, they reach vintage status, and the price goes up.

I just noticed in the pix that the John Sykes LP has no binding over the fret ends. Did his original get re-fretted and the binding nibs were removed or whats the story on that?
On the Gibson John Sykes guitar, the pickup rings have 2 holes for the pickup height. Were they original, or what? I know some Fenders have 2 holes on one side and 1 on the other. some Kramers were like this I think they had Schaller pickups.
I kind of like the Relic look myself. I love that Jackson, but not the 'Jackson emblem' across the body. Mainly cause it looks like a Bel Air emblem, and I'm a Ford guy.

From his web site it says ¨During the Thin Lizzy days, at Phil Lynott's suggestion, John changed the pickup mounting rings, pickguard and toggle switch plate from the stock Gibson parts to pieces made of chrome, giving the guitar its unique look.¨ so maybe those rings had 2 holes and he had to make an aditional one in the middle.
And yeha the Scheller pickups and pickups rings that Kramer used on the 80's had actually 3 holes so you could just change the pickup height or also the angle of the pickup... so maybe Sykes pickup rings and other hardware where Schaller.

Nice, thank for the info bro! Much appreciated! I'm one of those guys that look at a guitar and notice small details like that, and I always question when I see something out of the ordinary, like in this case.
Thank you

Yes they do, on the TB or Trembucker versions of their pickups. That's how I tell them apart when dealing with ebayers who dont know what they are selling.

I would take that hot rod jackson and give it a nice home! I have always thought that thing was way cool. Mike Learn is a bad ass on painting guitars. Its a little more than I want to spend though. http://cgi.ebay.com/Jackson-Custom-S...QQcmdZViewItem
