The difference depends on which USA model you want to compare your RR5.
I think the RR1T would be as similar as possible.

Differences then might be binding, ebony board, MOP inlays and overall better material.

From a buyers standpoint, the biggest difference is usually: made in USA vs made in Japan.

That might be true if the RR5 had MOP inlays, binding, and an ebony fretboard

From a price standpoint, a used RR5 is around $750, and a used RR1T is around $1250, roughly.

The only RRs at the moment that are USA are the RR1 (Floyd) and RR1T.

There was a USA RR2 made in '96 and '97, import hardware licensed JT580LP trem, with Armstrong pickups, bolt-on neck, ebony board and no inlays.

There also was the XTRR (Extreme Rhoads) out in 2000. It was discontinued after a couple years. It was based on Dan Spitz's Dinky Rhoads. It's a smaller version of the Rhoads with reverse headstock and sharkfins. Dan's had standard headstocks, though.

thanks guys for that info will have a look into them soon.

One more thing. What is the model called that Randy Used with the block inlays.

You know the one, kinda a different shape to the opnes we are talking about now and comes in white w/pinstripe.

                        Cheers

There have been various versions of the concorde style guitar done as limited production runs from the custom shop. They are very rare but they do seem to change hands every once in a while.
