My (Dinky) Contribution
Greetings All!
This is my first post: I've only been a lurker over the last couple of years. At the behest of my very old & dear friend Axewielder, I'm leaping into the fray.
For your viewing pleasure, I present:
This is the best guitar I've ever owned: most reliable, most diverse in the different tones it will provide. I bought it from a guy that was moving out of state back in 1993 or so. He had it for at least a year, perhaps closer to two. I believe he told me that he had it custom ordered, however I am uncertain if that is the case or not. I 'can' say that I've yet to see another one like it in all of my haunting of ebay, guitar shows, pawn shops, etc.
I have no idea what year/pedigree it is: any help with that would be appreciated, just for my own knowledge. Believe me: I'm not out to sell it: Axewielder will vouch for me.
One thing that I can attest to is that the active pickups, when the switch is turned "on", seems to turn the tone knob into some form of parametric EQ. The neck is "worn in" very nicely after all these years (98% my own dirt in there!) and is one of the most comfortable feeling necks I've ever held.
I feel extremely lucky to have the privilege to own this special guitar.
(Please pardon my less than stellar photography)

I spoke to Fender UK who confirm my DK1 snakeskin is definitely 2005. It's serial is 8338. Don't know what's going on with these serial numbers.Fuck ebay, fuck paypal
