Well actually yes and no!

The koa one has a lighter and snappier sound while the other one is alot darker and chunkier. The mahogany really darkens things up but in a good way.

A major factor is that the mahogany neck is WAY thicker than the koa ones too!

Kinda like a blonde and a brunette in bed at once I suppose....You might start with one but before the night is over you have played with both no doubt!
