I would have stashed the batteries in the control cavity though instead of routing more wood from the body.
There was plenty of room.

Same here. I never understood why the need for a battery box when you can put it in the cavity and save some wood. Sure, it's convenient, but you won't need to change the battery for at least a year or more. That being said, it's a very sweet guitar!!

man, that makes the RR24 seem elementary. 1 pickup, 1 knob and ready to deliver the knockout punch. I like the battery boxes! The best I could hope for would be a used custom shop
