I like that Black one, cause of the Kahler. Very nice dude!
Did those come out around the same time as the KV1 Mustaine KV's?
They look like they'd almost be a brother/sister guitar. Well I guess they are in some respects.

Yeah, the KE1s were offered during the same time as the KV1s. I'm not sure when Marty left Jackson. I'm sure someone around these parts knows though!
Absolutely two of the nicest Kellys I've ever seen! jk2171- did you take the rubber gasket out from underneath the Kahler? I've heard somewhere that removing it improves the sound of guitars with that type of bridge. I played a nice korina Mustaine for years and I wish I'd thought of that trick then. Real nice guitars you've got there!
That blue one is nice, and kind of reminds me of the KE2T I used to have.

I've heard of doing that as well, but have never tried it with the KE1 or the KV1s I've had.
Thanks guys...they are both great players. The blue one has a cool story behind it. It was played by Marty at a guitar clinic in '01 at Guitar Xpress. He even signed the back plate. I have included some pics of the clinic and the hang tag/invoice:
