  • J4112 Firebird

Here's the 1st Firebird I snagged. Got it last month from Robert W. I love all the features of this guitar - one hum, reverse headstock, non-recessed trem. This was originally owned by John Butler of the group Roxanne, who were popular in the late 80's. Not a cool metal player but a killer axe none the less. The coolest thing about the guitar is the phosphorous green paint job which makes it glow in the dark. You can see it in my avatar.

    Pics...

Thanks to Robert for a great deal.

I love that Bird man! If I could find a lefty in White, I'd grab it in a heartbeat.
                  What year are those?

                    4112 was built in '87. 5087 was built in '89 i believe.

Do those Firebird bodies balance pretty good?

before I joined this forum, I was meh on Firebirds. But now, I think they look awesome (the Jackson ones, anyway )

man, that looks way cool in white. That it glows in the dark too makes it even cooler.
                        Hail yesterday

The JT6 on that thing looks factory mint in those shots.

Love the glow in the dark paint too!

They balance very well IMO. I love how heavy and thick they are. Provides great sustain even when it's unplugged. I've had almost every Jackson shape and while I've enjoyed a lot of them, the Firebird is 'my' guitar...if that makes sense. Just feels right for me.
