The serial number is J6333 which puts in around 1996.

I have a show this weekend and wanted to use it but the case is so bad that only the center latch works so I don't trust to use it. I'm going to make some calls to places (I don't know that kind yet) to see if it can be fixed. Maybe a luggage store might have some ideas on whom to call????

I think a luggage store would be a good place to call. MAYBE a guitar store...but do they have case parts? Might be worth it just to get a new SKB Jackson case.

          $3.00 locks fixed the problem.

I know this is the Jackson USA thread, but I've been told that all ESP guitar models are available upon request from dealer.. Anyone have any experience with this? I was wondering if the lefty versions are already made and just sitting in a warehouse somewhere or if its more like a custom shop sort of deal where they build it when you order it?

              My contribution!

SL-1 from 2004: 2 single Di Marzzio from the last owner, (I had to change them!) and a Bill Lawrence 500L (sound very well!)

Gordon Smith Graduate: UK luthier guitar. Really cool neck. Wide and compound radius (12 -> 14). As playable as the Soloist!

              Rhoads from 1985: the best

That is not true if I'm not mistaken. I have attempted to order an ESP in Lefty before, and it was only available through the custom shop (they had to build it when I ordered it). I tried to order a Kamikaze III, and they told me they had to build it in the custom shop, that was the only option. So...I did. Now there are dealers like www.drumcityguitarland.com that carry many ESP's in stock that are lefty. However, I believe they custom order them from ESP and stock them. In fact, the last ESP I bought, Jason from Drum City told me that he often orders ESP models 2 years in advance in lefty in order to stock them the way that they do.

                  Good luck!
