Congrats Tonemonster, thats a nice looking CS Soloist! The Grover story is no BS. Grover has been back with them as a consultant for the past couple years. In fact they released the Charvel Grover Legacy Series at NAMM back then too.
I too have one of those limited run SL2H trans purple guitars from VWall and those are awesome guitars as well.

Grover Signed that when he was at Fullers for a custom shop clinic in 07. Grover used the same pen to sign a few back plates I brought with me. It's real.

I'm generally not a flame guy, but that's a guitar that I can get on baord with. I especially like the 1H/1V and the reverse/matching headstock.
Killer guitar for sure!
'Howling in shadows
Living in a lunar spell

Spewing from the mouth of hell'
That is a cool looking and unique guitar. Congrats.

Thanks for all the compliments folks. it really is a sweet guitar. I played it again last night, and it really rocks out. the pick harmonics just jump off it. it squeals like a virgin on prom night. the finish is very stunning in person. the pictures just dont give you the real deal. the birdseye maple fretboard is really a cool thing. certainly a nice piece.
just curious......does anyone else have birdseye fretboards like this with either black or pearl sharkfins? please post pics of them if you do. I would like to see them.
Ya know, I was stupid some years back. there was a guitar for sale, I think it was here, it was an old school Jackson, with a graphic of a face of a chic wearing sunglasses. and it had a nice birdseye neck on it. beautiful. nice sharkfins on it too. I shoulda bought that. I kick myself in the ass for passing it up. dumb me.
