Well here is the SD Kelly I got from pebber.
Killer player and has tons of mojo.Tone is all 80's.This is by far the best playing Kelly I've ever had.The sharks really pop too.

          Excellent score.

Is it my eyes or can you see the 3 pieces of wood that makes up the body?

I see that too. Maybe it's a transparent red finish?

I think pebber said its the first tranparent Kelly they made.
Diego and pebber this guitar rocks like a bitch!
Did a little work on the Kahler and she is rock solid now.Needed a good internal cleaning and adjusting of the section that the strings pass over.
She's good as gold now.BTW it has the heavy spring kit in it now.
This guitar is as good as a Kelly can get nuff said.
22 fret Kellys are the bees knees.
Diego do you have any other info on this guitar by any chance? Like the store where it was originally shipped to that kind of thing.
To all that love Jackson guitars get your hands on an original SD Jackson you won't be dissapointed.

What's the difference compared to the regular spring kit? Are strings stiffer/harder to bend now?

                    Agree about the SD Jacksons!

+1 What's the difference with the springs?

I've bought the heavy spring kit with other parts, but my single Kahler guitar needs a paint job and is in pieces at the moment.

The heavy kit makes it just a bit stiffer is all. Also makes it more stable and quicker to return to pitch.
The std spring kit seems mushy but thats just me some may like that better.I like them both ways just depends on the guitar.
I'm a big Kahler fan can you tell?
                        Thanks for the pics pebber.

I've had 4 Kelly's they all were 24 fret.Loved the look but hated the way the felt.
Played an early 22 fret Kelly and knew I had to find one.
I took a few years but I'm happy now.

That is one badass looking rock and roll guitar with solid authority! What a serious vibe that axe has- it seems a Kelly looks way more balanced and aesthetically pleasing with 22 frets, like that is the proper way to build them. That Kahler setup looks mean! Awesome brother.
