CS Special Neck Back Shape - what do the numbers mean?

For example, .790-.850

I took my digital calipers to my old Rhoads pro and measured the 1st & 9th fret neck depth (surface of fingerboard to back of neck), and the measurements correspond.

Am I correct, or is it a measurement of something completely different?

Surely it's just 1000th's of an inch. It's not the 'shape', just the depth of the neck from fingerboard to max point of the back....

It's neck depth measured at the 3rd and 12th frets.

In Jackson terms, this roughly equates to neck backshape. However, it is possible to have two necks with the same depth measurements, and different shapes. ex. "V" vs. "D" shapes, "C" vs. asymmetrical EVH profile, etc.

.790-.850 is the standard Jackson backshape, sometimes referred to as the "Soloist" profile.
