  • Serial ending with a "S"

I'm going to be looking at a 07' RR1T that originally had refinish issues and was never sent back out to the dealer. A replacement was sent out instead with the same serial. So they decided to stamp the original intended guitar with an S. Is this legit??

I've never heard of this before, I don't think Jackson would intentionally stamp the same serial number into two guitars. What does the S supposedly stand for?

I don't see why they would send him another brand new replacement guitar and stamp it as a factory second plus re-use an already issued serial number. Still doesn't make sense to me.
