  • Problems with my SL1

Hi I'm new to the forum and I was wondering if anyone could give me a little help or advice. I reccently got my new Ferrari Red SL1 and I seem to be having a problem with the high E string slipping off the edge of the frets, has anyone ever experienced this before? Also when I tap the 23rd and 24th frets on the high E the note is dead any suggestions?

    Thanks

Send it back pronto. Either the bridge or nut is crooked, neither of which can be fixed.

If it had been a bolt on, I'd say pull the neck to the bass side, but since it's not possible with a neckthrough, your absolute best bet is just to send it back.

There are expensive and/or time-consuming options you can try, such as having the nut holes filled and redrilled if it's the nut, or having the bridge posts filled and redrilled, but it's easier to send it back.

Post the serial number so we'll know which one to avoid.
