increasing the sustain from g string?

I have a soloist with an original floyd rose and the G string does not ring as long as the others when fretted. I've had the guitar plecked so I'm almost sure it's not the frets, so I'm almost sure that the sting seat on the floyd is the issue. has any ever "dressed" a seat on the floyd?
Would graphite help?
All the strings on my soloist ring for about 4 seconds except for the G, which rings about 2 seconds.
