Never played a KV but I've played RRs and they're very comfortable both sitting and standing.

Both are awesome guitars but KV2 FTW. Looks cooler too in my opinion.
All men play on 10. Never gonna turn down again.

            as for thicker neck...

is there a recognizable difference in sound?

If your short-tall (as Garfield the cat say's) then you'll like the RR1 over the KV2. The bottom point is shorter on the RR than the KV. Better ground clearance when standing:ROTF:

In all seriousness. Buy, the one you like, then get the other one later. Both are exceptional guitars.

well, every guitar sounds diffirent, but the thicker neck shouldn't be a big factor.

LOL But the long wing of the Rhoads is longer than the KV.
Both are comfortable either way, but the KV is a little better sitting down than the RR. You need to prop your left leg up a little for the RR (the same as Randy did) or just wear a strap and keep it up higher.
