Custom Shop Serial # VS Production ?

I have 1 PC1, and so does my bud Mr. Vklobucar, that has a 4 digit serial number instead of the typical 6, 00xxxx. Did they make some PC1's with only the 4 digits rather then 6?



Something else I dont get, is my Lacewood dinky, has the serial number BOTH stamped on the fingerboard AND on the neck plate. Both the same #. Why would that be?

Your PC1 is a custom isn't it? Is Vklobucar's as well? Cos that'd explain the 4 digit plate, certainly on your 'lumpy'...

No idea on the lacewood though. Unless maybe they were not intending to use a neck plate?...
