  • New guitar day part 1 - 92 LTD RR

    Huge thanks to Ari!

I lost to Ari by a couple of minutes on this one when the original owner was selling it. Ari now needed money for a very good reason and I was more than happy to "help".

Sick sustain and fat single notes. Maple is so underrated as guitar body wood. Of course it's really heavy which is not ideal. I bought this guitar to be played and not for the collectible status. Has some dings and small fretboard hairline cracks but overall in great shape. Short scale, Duncan DDJ and JNJ pickups.

One pic of the guitar and another of the legend with the original...

I played it last night when I came home with it and immediately came up with a new song. Good sign!

Sweet! I remember those. I didn't realize they were short scale, though.

When I ordered my 007 Soloist Custom Shop I ordered that in maple as well. Its heavier than my other Soloists but I really don't mind heavy guitars. Its something I never really understood with the Les Paul crowd. They complain about the weight yet there was Rhoads playing one live when he barely cracked 100 lbs himself. Bunch of wimps!
