I'm on a roll.
This was for sale on Finnish musician site muusikoiden.net. It seemed too rare to be true at first but I decided to investigate it further. I talked on the phone with the seller who was a really nice guy and everything seemed to match. We found a price we both were happy with and I got the guitar today. I was very excited to find that it's all original apart from the pickup - which I of course replaced right away with a period correct Jackson J50B. I also put a fixed Kahler on it but kept the locking nut cause it was a lot nicer in person than I expected.
Serial 2507. Log entry matches. WO 0577 (nice co-incidence since my Blue V is serial J0577) marked on both body and neck. Date in the neck pocket that has also absorbed to the neck. White mentioned in the Kahler route. OD (oiled neck, decal logo) marked in the neck.
Seems like an alder body. Has been played a LOT at some stage. Lots of belt-buckle rash, frets have a lot of wear and neck has that mojo feel! Finally I have a Strat that might be a keeper.
Interesting to note here is that the logo has TM on it making it one of the latest if not the latest TM logo I have ever seen. Of course it's a black logo which explains the difference.
Serialized 80s Jackson Stratheads are really rare and underrated IMO. I've owned a prepro and serialized SD Charvel Strats and this is just as good in every way and the neck profile is the same as well.
