  • cavity cover question

Does anyone know if the metal cavity cover from a usa dk1 with san dimas style rout is the same part as used on the new usa production model Charvels? I know they look the same but needed to know if they will interchange.

If they are true to there roots , no . I have a 87 Jackson strat with the SD rout and it much bigger . Going from the top of the plate (closest to the neck) the DK 1 measures roughly 3 7/8 to the center of the lower hole (toward the strap button) . The old SD route is close to 4 3/8. Even comparing pictures of the new Model series to my 07 DK1 you could tell they have a bigger plate.

Thanks. They look the same but I will have to get a measurement from the one seller.
