Well I got home from work today and my wife was like "I thought you weren't going to buy any more guitars"? So I said why? Apparently before I'd even received the tracking info on it ~ my new(to me) Ke1 got home.
So naturally I took a nap, then after a got up ~ I called in tomorrow for a vacation day!
Alright, next I broke out the rum(vodka was giving me major heartburn). I then immediately changed out the aftermarket strap locks(the ones with a threaded lock-nut, not dunlops). Next a brand new 9'er!
I noticed a couple of things right off the rip;
1) The action was set for someone who likes to pedal on the e string
2) They were obviously a rhythm player
3) The upper nut(saddle) was a little to narrow for 10 gauge strings
4) I'd probably already drank enough to wait until next time to file the nut(plus the rocker arm saddles need adjustment)
5) The paint and body were immaculate
The inlays have great color, but a sloppy glue job
All in all with the bargain price I paid, I want to give a big shout out to fellow JCF'er Vass for the hook up!!!
