Mark all of your gear with a Snagg RFID chip. It's too easy to steal and pawn stuff. https://www.snagg.com/

You can also register your gear at www.theguitarvaults.com. It's an online repository of guitars and serial numbers that can be used to potentially recover stolen axes. The site was started by Dweezil Zappa and is already got a pretty large member base.
