  • 86 jackson soloist

    have two soloist both 86 and both have pits and milky look in parts of clear coat is this something that happens alot with old jacksons...and is it hard to fix http://i714.photobucket.com/albums/w...imajor/016.jpg

    Probably just wear spots in the finish. Surface scratches.
    A good buff with some light polishing compound should bring it back.
    Common on older guitars, not just Jacksons.

    On rare occasions you may come across lifting, where the clear loses adhesion with the paint.
    Nothing you can do about that short of refinishing it.
    This you do not see a lot of.

        I have a purple/black Soloist that is nearly a twin to yours except it has a blade switch for pickup selector and Floyd instead of a Kahler Mine is an 87.
