My '05 Charvel Star came with some copper tape under the saddles to shim them. You can also buy metal shims to set the radius to your preference, so it's no big deal.

Just checked the Floyd Rose website and I have a correction to make from my previous post about nut radius.
All Floyd Rose nuts up to R8 have a 10" radius. R9 has a 15" radius.
ALL Original Floyd Rose and Floyd Rose Pro bridges have a 10" radius.

From the link it looks like the speedloader nuts come in 12"... but I'm not familiar with them... are they the same as the standard? I wonder if this is what Jackson uses. It's hard to believe they would use a different nut radius than the fretboard. It also wouldn't be too dificult to cut down a 15" if needed.

Speedloader nuts are significantly different from regular OFR nuts.
Trust me... Jackson uses off the shelf Floyd Rose nuts.

I think you're right, I know they don't quite match.

I've got some copper tape laying around that I've used for shielding.

Looks like a project for a sunday afternoon.....

Yeah, I might have to do that to one of my licensed trems and see if it makes a big difference.
