  • PC-1 or KV2?

My wife has given permission for me to purchase another guitar for my jackson collection

    I have a DK2M, RR1 and a soloist, what should I add?
    KV2T?
    KV2?
    PC-1?
    Other?

thanks, I'm a little concerned about the thickness of the neck on the PC-1, I haven't played one and I don't have large hands. At least its an un-finished neck which I prefer over the painted ones...

You can also shave it down to your liking.
Unlike most necks that are pretty thin to begin with, this one has plenty of room for tweaking.
Personally I find it to be a very comfortable neck.
Many people are surprised at just how easy it is to play.

Well, KV-2 and PC-1 are very different guitars. As for me- KV-2 are my favourite guitars at all. It will be a good addition for your RR-1

            Those PC-1 finishes are gorgeous.

Lots of differences with the H/H versus H/S/S and the Duncans vs. Dimarzios? Finish differences?

Do you want a guitar with Phil's name on the headstock?

I love my KV2, white w/ black bevels, so I'd recommend one of those, maybe in one of the snakeskins or absinthe frost finish. Do they not offer the pintripe finishes anymore? Didn't see it on the site.

is the neck profile on the KV2 similar to the RR1? I really like the way the RR1 feels.

I believe the KV2 neck is a bit thinner and it also has thinner frets. I think the frets are the same hieght as the RR1, but thinner. I prefer the necks of my KV2's to that of my RR. The jumbo frets feel bulky to me.

Having owned both, I'd go with a PC1 hands down. Your opinion may vary.

Since you have a Wham! tribute band, why not buy yourself a Hello Kitty guitar and give your Jacksons away to us

I don't think any Jacksons come with an optional lube dispenser
I'm not afraid to bleed, but I won't do it for you.

As far as the original question goes, I'd suggest seeing if there's a dealer in your area where you could try them out. I'd go with a WR1 or a KV2. Both incredible guitars, in my opinion. I just love mine to death.
