  • Do KV-2's really have a JB in the neck?

or is that a typo on the jackson website? Most of the other guitars have a jazz in the neck.

I just bought one (used) and was shocked to see the stock info posted, thinking exactly as you do. I called jackson for the Ser # dating and mentioned this. Apparently, they did and do put them in the neck now instead of jazz according to the CSR.

Both the KV2 and RR5 have dual JBs... the same version, as they do not make an actual neck version of the JB.
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

I like the JB in the neck of my RR5 more than the Jazz in the DK2M I had and the 59 in my Charvel.

I've never liked the Jazz neck model.

Not a fan of the JB at all. I replaced my KV2 with a Distortion and a Jazz. The Jazz coiled tapped also. My KV2T was replaced with a Distortion too. I left the 59 in the neck.

Both my KV2s have JB4s in the neck position as well. Many websites list it wrong, though, which is probably why it's a surprise to many people. I certainly did not realize it until I was changing the pups in one of mine.

You learn something new every day. How does the JB sound in the neck?
                    I like maple fretboards. :P

My SL-4 has duel JBs also. I love that pickup in the neck position better than a 59. Have yet to try a Jazz in the neck.

If nobody has something to contribute beforehand, I'll try to whip up a comparative recording between the Jazz/Distortion in my Rhoads and the JB/JB of the KV2 when it arrives.
