    The KV was available for a long time from the custom shop prior to the release of the KV1 and KV2. Though, I don't consider those customs variations of the KV1/KV2 models.

    Most of what shaped the KV1/KV2 was Mustaine's personal KV's being made for him around the mid-90's.

      Wasn't the switch from the Rhoads 22 fret to the 24 fret on the KV a Mustaine inspired update as well?
