Picked me up a DK-1 Lightning sky. 1995 based off the serial number chart. It plays amazing! Previous owner installed EMGs, so it has 81/SA/SA.

I was looking up the specs and I can't find out the body wood on it. Lists I've seen say its basswood, but also say it has a birdseye maple neck, which this doesn't. Anyone able to help me with that?

Anyway, not great light outside, so I had to take the pics inside, so they're only decent. More to follow on a nicer day!

HNGD!(0Y0)nice Dinky thebigz.I have a SL-1 and the body has alder wings with a maple NTB.I think the only difference between the Dinky-1 and SL-1 is the bolt-on neck.I'm not 100% though I'm pretty sure.Here's mine:

I don't think that's a DK-1. The older DK1s were H/S/S Duncans but only had 22 frets. The new DK1s are 24 frets with H/H EMGs.

Looking through, I guess this is actually called a Dinky Custom, right? Originally had Jackson pickups. Still wondering though, since the specs all say birdseye maple for the neck and this is quartersawn......
