hey chad. yep, it was a BIN of something like $1450.. i bid $1100. then bumped to $1200 just in case. item didn't sell for his reserve. i emailed seller asking if he'd consider selling outside of ebay for my bid price. we agreed on a price that was a little more than my ebay bid but less than his reserve price. win-win and i didn't dicker him on the price. I hate when people do that to me, and besides, what is a lousy couple bucks when its such a nice guitar? the guy was a cool dude and it already was priced fairly so hope he's as happy as I am with the transaction.

What a difference the right light makes in photo though. the ones on the ebay site didn't really show the figuring quite as good as they could have (which is probably why there weren't more bids)

here's one of the seller's photos:

Love the PC1 man. While the old ones have the funky headstock, they seemed to use nicer wood back then. Certainly the dye finish was much nicer on those, but even the fingerboard generally had a nicer flame and it even looks like a really nice piece of mahogany.

Beauty guitar and a great deal.

DRM : I think I would take your custom shop Charvel over the PC1, that thing is hot. Those are pretty much the specs I'd love to have except I would want it with 24 frets and generally prefer neckthrough.
