I've never seen an off center truss rod, is that going to work properly?

According to Pablo Santana it works just fine. The idea being the truss rod is shifted toward the bass strings since they exert more force than the treble strings.

Rudy pointed out it's a new kind of neck, so it's done that way deliberately.
