  • Sweet!!! My VTREM Copied for 30th Anniversary

So, it looks like Jackson decided to market my VTREM: :-)

I wonder why they did not do the more famous white NAMM Rhoads that was accidentally sold by Grover (the one that ended up in Sean Clegg's hands). I.e., JCF-01...

Oh well, gotta say that i'm excited! Does anyone know what the 30 Anniv. guitars are going for?

Hey Diego! I wanna see pics of your RR again!
The Relic RR price is Randy's birthdate. I keep reading about "The First Five." Really cool stuff going on for the 30th anniversary.

        Yes...

Yes, that's it.. the one from Grover's garage, etc... The one where I have a letter from Grover stating that it was the 3rd guitar ordered by Randy but he never got it. I think the pictures are still up somewhere.... Note that mine has the bigger sharktooth inlays (the 30th anniversary has the smaller PCS ones like Randy's 2nd Jackson). Mine is the first Jackson to have the bigger and reverse inlays! Recent research I have done though leads me to sincerely believe that Randy wanted to put a Kahler on this third guitar. I have that stated somewhere where Randy says this verbally (on audio) or a written interview. When I talked to Grover last year about this, he seemed to recall this detail too. Grover added more details about Kahler story at the time to me.

I'll put up more soon once my file server gets back up.

I remember when Rob got that from Grover and had Mike Shannon finish it. Defenitely a cool piece of history.

I don't even think that guy is a dealer.

                  This one was $2999.

I believe once they declare a run of a specific limited quantity of guitars with certain specs then cannot reproduce it exactly. I think there as to be at least 3 differences..

Nice to see them putting these out though ! Im pretty excited since I just put a deposit on one of the gold RR's

Never mind. Actually the LTD was supposedly limited and that hasnt seemed to stop them.

Very cool. I totally love reverse sharkies. I wish they all were that way.

Your guitar was always one of my favorite Rhoads guitars! When I saw the 30th anniversary model I thought that yours had the reverse shark fins. Thanks for sharing!

Thx! Yeah, I just about shit when I saw the first image of this guitar back in the mid 90's when it was incomplete. I never thought that I would end up with it. Anyway, in the letter that I have from Grover it states that this is the first one with reverse inlays.

I really want one of the 30th vintage models too!!! D
