Even tougher if that company isn't even offering a premium product. I would've given good money to be there when you handed the card over. Out of morbid curiosity, was it just the finishes that were off or were there other issues as well?

Honestly, I didn't pick them up to observe. There was something strange going on with the inlays. The the finishes really jumped at me.

Every time I've spoken to him he's been very cool.

As far as the VVV, one thing I noticed were that two of them had cheap tremolos on them while one had an Original Floyd. The whole thing just seemed way out of line for the money they're asking.

Whats with the third pot on the single hum guitars? Some sort of pre amp?

It's the time warp knob for speeding up the tape on the solos.

What was wrong with the finishes? Sloppy bevels or did they just forget to paint some of the guitars? :P

Fisheye, some delamination, lack of buffing. Their reply was that there was not time to finish the one in particular. I would have left it home.

Thanks for the info, makes me wonder about time constraints while building customs...

When Vinnie didn't show, they probably threw that guitar in there, since they'll still have a small/thin object covered in bright and flashy covers, over priced, that nobody cares about, that's just plain sloppy.

I thought this was going to be the VV signature guitar and signature shirt for both of his fans:
