NAMM 2012 Coverage

I just heard back from the designer and he said it would be at Namm this year. Rudy, I will be forever in your debt if you manage to squeeze a price and ETA out of em...it'd also be pretty cool to hear your feedback about it (as I assume you may hear it in person!)! You're so lucky you get to go to NAMM ...well aside from having to deal with all of the crazy gear head requests haha. Can't wait for all of your Jackson pics!

I'll find out there. I'm sure they're not going to display it yet not announce when it will be available. Hopefully I'll even be able to record a demo of it. If I do I'll upload it to youtube

Roland/Boss is supposed to have a new guitar product. I'm curious to know if it will be a successor to the GT10. Please check it out for us? Or just go check Rob Marcello shred on guitar at the Boss booth!

Saw Rob there in the past. I'm sure I'll see him again there this year. Probably demoing the GR-55

I want to know what the Jet City "mystery" blue amp is. Internet rumor has it as a possible Orange or Hiwatt clone or collaboration. I'm hoping for Hiwatt myself.

Next, yes Fishman is releasing a wireless midi pickup. Here are some shots of it. It uses a wireless USB connection. You can use a laptop, a keyboard, etc... Street price will be under $300.00:





And here is the 1W Marshall stuff. None of it was hooked up to play so I can't say how it sounds:

Gotta admit that 1w Marshall stuff is tempting. I ilve in an apartment and most tube amps are too loud for a "bedroom amp" so I've been using a tube kind pedal on a Fender (hey it works sort of), and the Blackstar 1w was decent when I tried it but was leery about buying some Chinese off-brand

I have not played the GT-100 however I did hear a little bit of it played by Rob Marcello. In fact I filmed a couple minutes of it with my Zoom Q3HD. At some point I'll try to upload it. I tried uploading my Jackson pix to Facebook last night but it locked up on me after about 60 or so shots
I'll stop by EBMM today and check out the JP12.
Also, this year Charvel has their own display down on the main floor. Much larger than ever before and looks good! I have tons of pix from there as well.

Thank you so much, Rudy! It's great to see the Fishman midi pickup (they changed the name and the aesthetic design since the prototype!). Looks great! I look forward to seeing some Charvel pics....heard some rumblings about a couple of San Dimas 7 String models (would love to know if they are production or just custom shops!). Thanks again, Rudy! New Charvels: meh. Just another import. Well built but nothing special. To me they feel like any other import.
