How is Schecter able to get away with using the smurf heads and strat heads? Does Fender own them too?

Charvels look to be the exact same with recessed trems. I'm bored. I wish Charvel would do a few production figured flat tops with body binding, and add some freaking color in there already.

Thanks for posting the pics! I like the eyeball Charvel, but the rest don't do it for me. Jackson has some cool looking 'show' guitars, but nothing that makes me want to bust out the credit card... The GMP stuff looks great!

schecter is not owned by fender. ESP has the same parent company has schecter. I know for a long time the strat head schecters were japan only. if they're having stratheads here they're paying a licensing fee.

The Strat headstock is a US Trademark that doesn't apply in Japan. They cannot export these to the US directly as brand new merchandise or they would face a court battle. I'll be happy to pick a used one up on ebay though, as these will show up used... and probably a few new ones under the table as well.

I'm not a fan of recessed trems on Pro Mods either. But hey, on the upside, there will be a hoard of Jake E Lee bridges on Ebay soon.

So on the headstock they just have replaced Japan for Mexico and the logo is the same size and everything and not crazy?

I can't believe we have not seen any teaser pics of the new Pro Mods. FMIC must be promising castration to anyone who leaks them?

Or they aren't as important as other guitars.

Basically, to the layman, these are the same ProMods as before.
With the NOS stuff still in the channel, the switch from MIJ to MIM isn't really newsworthy.

From the Pics, it looks like GMP is stealing the show. They look amazing.

Namm 2013: Epic Fail. Having seen new releases from Jackson, BC Rich, Roland/Boss and Eventide; I'm thoroughly dissapointed. In a way, I'm glad because it means I'm gonna fight like hell on ebay for a good deal on other gear.

Yeah that Eventide H9 is pretty lame. Single effect and it's like the digitech iStomp where you have to buy each effect individually from an app store.

Bring on the hacker/pirates!

True. An H8000 with half the ins/outs like the Eclipse whilst retaining both engines, thus more affordable would've been a much better idea. Roland too made an Ipad app for the Integra-7, but at least all 6000 sounds are in the module.
