I saw Joel Hoekstra, Brad Gillis, and Brian Tichy at the Hilton after the show. I asked Joel if the guitars on display and being played on stage were Randy's. He said yes, then said he was pretty sure they were. Then said he thought the amps were Randy's too.
I saw backstage pics and their was a Concorde with a Sandoval logo. Dunno if the one on the side of the stage was Jackson or Sandoval. The Les Paul had Randy's mom's signature on it a a few guys played it on stage. The Black V looked like a PCS style V with old school logo and smaller inlays. The guitars were on stands on pedestals with a security guy nearby.
The Marshalls looked older and not brand new. I wish I would've asked Tichy. He was super pumped after the show and was talking about specific song parts and how well most of it went. I totally forgot to ask him specifics about the equipment. A friend of mine knows Gillis…I'll ask him to ask Gillis about the equipment.
Roody…I think tons of my friends were at the show and I had no idea. Would've been great to meet you in person. I was about 3 people from the barricade, almost dead center. Nice pics too!
