  • So uh, uhm.. erm. any uhm, ESP love at NAMM?

Anyone got links to photos for the new ESP stuff? I'm uhm, asking for a friend.
In the future though I need to remember to not buy guitars while on Nyquil

I bought a custom M1 at the 1989 NAMM. Does that count?

I'd like to see some too.

unfortunately the only show floor stuff I found on the web site is videos. used to be there'd always be pictures on the forum but that's shit now. https://www.espguitars.com/search?ut...&commit=Search

ESP killed it this year. Lots of great stuff from what I saw on YouTube. I really want something ESP as of late.

Their booth was OK, but nothing outstanding IMO. Still better than the Jackson booth though, which is a hard thing to admit...
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

ESP was great. They have a new line coming out based on some 80s models. They make some great guitars.
8 strings? Because 6 is too easy?

Yeah, they had all of those above on display. I wanted to grab one and run!

But I wonder... are LTDs still made in Korea? or maybe China now?

                      Depends on which LTDs.

Up until recently, the 1000 Deluxe Series were exclusively made in South Korea, but are now Indonesian.

I'm less certain about the product ranges lower than the 1000 Deluxe Series because I haven't paid as close attention to them.

Expect that manufacturing will continue to "fish down the food chain" as the decades go by, but also quality and consistency is increasing in the low-cost countries. Remember the days when Japanese guitars were derided as inferior to American guitars (whether true or not) but are now regarded as high level instruments. South Korea is becoming the new Japan, Indonesia is becoming the new South Korea (we're now seeing $1000 Indonesian guitars, with LTD and Solar being examples), and even Chinese guitars are surprisingly good these days (and I would expect them to get better). My question is, who will be the next China?

Lots of textiles coming from Vietnam. Maybe them?
