  • New USA 7-string from KxK

This very guitar will be at NAMM this year. I've had it for about a week now, and will be sending it back early December.

It plays and sounds really good, almost as nice as Eaeolian's CS Soloist 7. He, Profusion, and Siggy14 have played it, so hopefully they'll chime in on it at some point. If you have a chance, stop by the KxK booth and check it out.

      That looks pretty nice!
And it doesn't have that horrendous long tip headstock like on their V!

He's an endorser, so they loaned it to him. Since I'm in the same band, I played it quite a bit. It's a very impressive piece, for sure.

            The pickup is a X2N-7
Division - American Metal that doesn't suck. Much. Even on Facebook.

He'll build you pretty much whatever you want...

I specifically ordered my V without that headstock. The builder, Rob, doesn't like that 5+2 headstock much, but that is what the customer wanted.

As Eaeolian said, I'm an endorser. I'm just trying to be respectful and not make a sales ad. Rob makes nice stuff, and I just wanted to encourage you guys who are NAMM bound to stop by his booth and take a look.

That looks pretty clean and nice.
At first I thought it was a baritone, but guess not..?

It's a 27" scale. The V beside it is just roughly the size of an aircraft carrier.

The scale was more comfortable than I thought it would be...

Not only have I played the KXK 7-string superstrat prototype, but I've already ordered one, albeit with somewhat different specs:

                            --25.5" scale
                            --27 frets
                            --4+3 headstock
                            --Two EMG-707 pickups
--Road Hazard Yellow (or as similar to that as KXK can get)
                            --Diamond inlays

It's really a fine guitar, and KXKs are an incredible value. I'd love to order a custom Jackson with those specs, but I just don't happen to have $4,000 laying around.
